Model 9279 is a 3-12 VDC micro motor controller with speed control. Control 3-12 VDC motors forward and reverse motion. The 9279 can handle motor loads up to 1.5A. The compact size (0.625 x 0.5x 0.0375) is perfect for applications where space is limited. The 9279 is a programmable device utilizing the Phenix Infrared Programming system. The Phenix Programmer Software allows for full customization of the motor controller. The PC software is available for free.
Sample 9279 Program
A program is a sequence of commands issued to the motor controller. Each row defines a single command. A command consists of the direction the motor will turn, represented by the arrow in the right column; the length of time the motor will be in this condition, defined by the value in the center column; and the motor speed, represents by a percentage in the left column.
Commands are executed in sequence and automatically repeat. In the sample program, the motor will run forward for 5 seconds at 100% speed. Then, travel in reverse for 5 seconds at 75% speed. The 9279 can store up to 32 commands. The programming flexibility allows for this standard hardware to be easily customized to fit almost and motor timing applications.
